Wigan Athletic manager Uwe Rosler bemoans lack of finishing

Wigan Athletic manager Uwe Rosler admits that poor finishing cost his side during Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to Brighton.

Wigan Athletic manager Uwe Rosler has admitted that his team's lack of finishing cost them during Tuesday's defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Latics were beaten 1-0 at the Amex Stadium last night to put them just one point above the relegation zone in the Championship table.

Wigan had the majority of possession and more chances against Brighton, but Rosler concedes that a failure to convert those opportunities made the difference.

"We just need to be scoring goals. After a game like that, I don't look at the table," he told BBC Sport. "We can't do more than dominate a game and I don't know what to say after we dominated a game like that.

"The first 10 minutes were not good. We can't retain possession like we did, but apart from that we did everything right."

Wigan are next in action on Saturday when they travel to fellow strugglers Bolton Wanderers in the Championship.
