West Ham to make second McCormack bid?

West Ham United are reportedly poised to make an improved offer for Leeds United captain Ross McCormack.

Leeds rejected West Ham's original bid for the 27-year-old striker, which was reported to be worth around £3.5m, on Friday.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the Hammers will return with a second offer of £4m plus £1m in appearance-based add-ons later today.

McCormack, who has been capped 10 times by Scotland at senior international level, is the Championship's leading scorer this season with 17 goals.

Only Sunderland, Norwich City, Cardiff City and Crystal Palace have scored fewer Premier League goals than West Ham so far this term.
