West Ham United are eyeing up a move for Lille striker Salomon Kalou, according to a report.

The Hammers want to bolster their attacking options as Andy Carroll looks set to miss the first month of the season while a move for Duvan Zapata broke down.

Manager Sam Allardyce is hoping to lure the former Chelsea forward back to the Premier League and is confident that a bid of £2.5m will be enough to secure his services, reports The People.

The 27-year-old scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 for the French side last season.
