West Ham bid £24m for France-based player

West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan has revealed that the club have made a £24m bid for a player based in France.

The 67-year-old did not reveal the identity of the player, but the Hammers have been linked to Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette and Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi.

In an interview with Sky Sports News, Sullivan confirmed that a bid has been tabled and the club will offer up to £25m this week for a player based in England.

Meanwhile, West Ham are preparing for their final game at the Boleyn Ground before they move to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford; they will take on Manchester United tomorrow evening.
