Diafra Sakho 'passes Rennes medical'

West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho has reportedly passed his medical ahead of his proposed move to Ligue 1 side Rennes.

The Hammers had previously turned down two bids for the 28-year-old from Rennes earlier this month, but the clubs are now understood to have agreed terms on a deal which could be worth up to £8m.

Sakho has travelled to France to undergo his medical, and Sky Sports News reports that he has now successfully completed it as the deal edges closer to being finalised.

Sakho is keen to leave the London Stadium in search of more regular football, having not made a single Premier League start for the club all season.

The Senegal international joined West Ham in 2014 and has gone on to score 24 goals in 71 appearances for the club across all competitions.

Should his proposed move to Rennes go through then Sakho would have the opportunity to play in the French top flight for the first time, having previously only featured for Metz as high as Ligue 2 before his move to England.
