Carl Jenkinson confident of strong finish for West Ham United

Carl Jenkinson is confident that West Ham United can enjoy a strong finish to the Premier League season.

West Ham United defender Carl Jenkinson has backed the team to enjoy a strong finish to the season.

The Hammers ended their seven-game winless run in the Premier League last weekend thanks to a late 1-0 win over Sunderland.

With his side now up to ninth place in the table, Jenkinson is expecting them to push on during the final few weeks of the campaign.

"We want to finish as high up the table as we possibly can," he told the club's official website. "We've had a strong season so far. We had a great start and as a team we don't want to let that go to waste, it would be a real shame if we do. I've got a lot of confidence in the boys that we're going to finish strongly."

West Ham return to action on April 4 when they travel to Leicester City in the league.
