Carroll sent home from training after bust-up?

West Ham United boss David Moyes reportedly ordered striker Andy Carroll home from training on Monday afternoon following an angry confrontation.

Moyes vowed to "deal with" the 29-year-old at the weekend after he disappeared down the tunnel during the Hammers' 4-1 loss to Manchester City.

Carroll returned to the dressing room area after all three of United's subs had been made, angering his manager who has vowed to take a hard-line stance.

According to The Telegraph, the nine-cap England international reported to the club's training base 24 hours after the incident, but he was instructed to leave after a bust-up with Moyes.

West Ham are said to have launched an investigation and will consider fining Carroll, whose future at the London Stadium is looking increasingly unclear.
