Half-Time Report: West Ham United lead against Cardiff City

West Ham United are leading Cardiff City 2-1 at Upton Park in their Capital One Cup clash.

The home side took an early lead inside of two minutes when Matt Jarvis saw his shot deflect into the path of Ravel Morrison, who finished past the keeper from close range.

Jarvis doubled their lead minutes later when his deflected shot squeezed past goalkeeper Joe Lewis.

West Ham soon came close to adding a third through Ricardo Vaz Te who saw his effort pushed round the post by Lewis.

Craig Noone pulled a goal back for the visitors a minute before the break when he cut inside and fired past Adrian.
