Half-Time Report: Walsall held by Preston North End at break

Walsall are being 1-1 held by Preston North End at half time.

Walsall are looking for their first win of the season but will need another goal in their game against Preston North End as they are being held 1-1.

Walsall took an early lead after Romaine Sawyers slotted home in the seventh minute after a neat through-ball from Adam Chambers.

Sawyers, who returned from international duty with St Kitts and Nevis, was especially lively in the early stages and looked most likely to add to his opener.

Preston, who were seventh before kickoff, looked more and more lively as the first half went on, and their moment came in the 36th minute after Joe Garner scored from distance to make it 1-1.

Paul Gallagher almost put the visitors ahead just before half time only pull his effort just wide.
