Villarreal will be without Russian international Denis Cheryshev for the next three weeks after the attacker was diagnosed with a hamstring injury.
Cheryshev, who is on loan at Villarreal from Real Madrid, underwent tests on Tuesday, which confirmed that the player had suffered a tear in his right hamstring following Sunday's goalless draw against Cordoba.
The 24-year-old has been contracted to Real Madrid since 2012, but has not yet represented the Los Blancos first team – spending each of the last two seasons on loan at Sevilla and Villarreal respectively.
Cheryshev has joined a long injury list for the Yellow Submarine, which also includes Bruno, Mateo Musacchio, Giovani dos Santos and Ikechukwu Uche.
