Solomon Kwambe earns MLS trial

Vancouver Whitecaps have handed a trial to Nigerian international Solomon Kwambe.

Kwambe, who plays for domestic side Sunshine Stars, is one of four players that have been given the opportunity to impress at the Canadian side.

The 20-year-old has recently represented Nigeria at the African Nations Championship, where he helped his country to third place.

The right-back enjoyed a fine campaign in South Africa, but his missed penalty in their semi-final shootout against Ghana contributed to Nigeria missing out on a place in the final.
