A brace from Kenny Miller and strikes from Camilo Sanvezzo and Jordan Harvey earn Vancouver Whitecaps a home win over the 10-man New England Revolution.

Vancouver Whitecaps beat 10-man New England Revolution 4-3 in a thrilling encounter at BC Place in their MLS clash.

The visitors took the lead in the 10th minute when Juan Agudelo latched onto Chris Tierney's long ball and dispatched his shot into the net.

New England doubled their advantage as Saer Sene found Diego Fagundez in the penalty area and he laid the ball off perfectly for Kelyn Rowe, who found the bottom corner with a low effort.

The Whitecaps were handed a way back into the game when Andrew Farrell hauled down Kenny Miller in the penalty area and was duly sent off. Camilo Sanvezzo converted the resulting spot kick.

Vancouver were level minutes later as Miller lifted the ball over the Revolution defence and raced into the box before firing past Bobby Shuttleworth.

The home side took the lead just before the break as Russell Teibert lifted a cross into the area which Miller just missed, but Jordan Harvey was there at the back post to turn the ball in.

After half time, Miller got his second of the game in spectacular fashion as he chased down a long ball and volleyed an effort over Shuttleworth into the top corner.

Vancouver looked set to see out the win but they were given an uncomfortable last few minutes as Dimitry Imbongo got a goal back for the Revolution; however, they were unable to force an equaliser as the Whitecaps earned the three points.
