Adil Rami plays down Manchester United move

Valencia defender Adil Rami has played down speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.

The 26-year-old Frenchman has been in impressive form for the La Liga side this season.

"I would prefer not to talk about [the rumours] but obviously I'm pleased," he told Superdeporte.

"It means that I am performing well and that is what I want. But right now that [Manchester United] is not my objective.

"La Liga is more important than the Premier League. In England it is much more physical; that's not a problem for me, but I prefer to touch the ball."

Rami moved to Valencia from Ligue 1 side Lille during the summer.
