Wolfsburg snap up Bas Dost

Wolfsburg have completed the signing of last season's top scorer in the Eredivisie, Bas Dost, this afternoon.

Dost, who turned 23 yesterday, has signed a five-year deal at the Bundesliga club after Wolfsburg and Heerenveen agreed an undisclosed fee.

Dost told the club's website: "For me it is a great chance to prove myself with the Wolves in the Bundesliga.

"I have followed the league since I was a boy."

The Dutchman, who scored 32 goals in 34 league appearances last term, has yet to make an appearance with Holland at senior level.
