Football rumours from the media

Incomings and outgoings at Manchester United feature in Tuesday’s papers.

What the papers say

Jadon Sancho, who moved from Manchester City to Borussia Dortmund in 2017 and was called up to the England squad this week, is wanted by five of the big six Premier League teams, the Sun reports. Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham are all interested in the winger who could cost upwards of £100million, according to the paper.

David De Gea may consider leaving Old Trafford at the end of his current contract, the Daily Telegraph says. The paper said talks between Manchester United and the Spain goalkeeper on a new deal have reached an impasse.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reports up to 10 players could consider leaving Manchester United if Jose Mourinho stays in charge, including Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Ashley Young.

One name being linked with a move to Manchester United is Andreas Granqvist, with the club keen on taking the defender on loan, the Daily Mirror said.

Aston Villa are hoping to boost their promotion chances with a move for Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi, the Birmingham Mail says.
