Anzhi target spending spree

Anzhi Makhachkala are reportedly preparing a spending spree of £250m in order to bring Champions League football to Dagestan.

The task of securing top talent will be handed to team director Roberto Carlos, according to Sports Illustrated, as the Russian club attempt to secure European football within three years.

Anzhi's popularity as a whole has grown significantly since billionaire Suleyman Kerimov took over in 2011.

Guus Hiddink's side are currently seventh in the Russian Premier League.
