Premier League heavyweights Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City have been linked with big-money moves in the last few days, but none have yet got their reported deals over the line.

7.10pmDONE DEAL! We were told it was close all day, and now it's official. Newcastle United have completed the signing of winger Florian Thauvin from Marseille, while Remy Cabella has gone to the Ligue 1 club on a season-long loan.

Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez faced questions from reporters about the club's alleged interest in the goalkeeper, but the Spanish boss completely avoided answering any of them. Does this mean that De Gea is on his way to the Bernabeu, or perhaps Benitez just could not be bothered to address the speculation? We'll find out within the next 13 days!

7.12amLet's bring you a reminder of a huge story that broke last night. According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are trying to hijack Manchester United's bid for Barcelona winger Pedro. It seemed as though it was just a matter of time before the Spaniard would arrive at Old Trafford, but Chelsea are reportedly attempting to scupper the deal. Given that United are likely to miss out on Nicolas Otamendi to Manchester City, their move for Pedro is certainly one that they will not want to lose!
