There is now just a little over two weeks to go before the winter window closes for business, meaning that teams up and down the land are fast running out of time to complete their purchases.

While certain big-name moves have already gone through, we can certainly expect things to heat up a little more in the coming days as the rumour mill continues to intensify.

Here, we will keep you updated with all the latest gossip and finalised deals as and when they emerge throughout the day.

1.43amEto'o may very well leave Merseyside, but one man who has "no intention" of it is Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert. Crystal Palace have been linked with a move for the 32-year-old striker this month, but Lambert has his heart set on staying at Anfield. More on this in here.

12.17amBack to football and transfer stuff now and, according to Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero, a deal to sign Samuel Eto'o from Everton is moving along nicely and the Toffees just have to greenlight the switch. More in here.

10.41pmWilfried Bony's big-money move to Manchester City was expected to stop the speculation surrounding the future of Bafetimbi Gomis, but the Swansea City striker has admitted that he could still leave the club this month.

10.23pmWhen you're battling to stay in the Premier League, having an in-form striker in the squad can be vital, and Rudy Gestede is believed to be attracting interest from Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion and Hull City. However, Blackburn Rovers are reported to have slapped a Â£6m price tag on their forward, which has apparently angered Gestede.

9.03pmMartin Olsson was repeatedly linked with a move away from Norwich City in the summer after their relegation from the Premier League last season, and it appears that the Swedish defender could be set for a return to the top flight after Alex Neil confirmed that Swansea City had shown an interest in his services.

7.57pmSome Championship news now, with Wolverhampton Wanderers rumoured to be leading the race to sign Zulte Waregem midfielder Idrissa Sylla, who is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations with Guinea.

7.34pmArsenal supporters will be delighted this evening following the 2-0 win over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, and there could be another reason to be cheerful in the near future, with the Gunners apparently preparing to open talks with Roma about a move for Mattia Destro.

7.19pmSamuel Eto'o has been repeatedly linked with a move to Sampdoria in recent days, but the Italian cub's head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has refused to reveal whether his side are close to agreeing a deal with Everton.

Napoli's Gonzalo Higuain has categorically denied suggestions that he is close to joining Arsenal, while reported Manchester United target Raphael Varane appears to be staying put at Read Madrid.

6.15pmWell Arsenal may have picked up an impressive victory at Manchester City this evening, but Gunners legend Thierry Henry believes that the club still need to purchase a holding midfielder this month in they are to push on.

4.35pmTurning attention to the Championship now, and Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy has refused to comment on speculation linking his side with a move for Leeds United forward Billy Sharp. Noel Hunt has made a strong impression since joining the Tractor Boys on a permanent basis earlier this month - could Sharp be next player to make the move to Portman Road?

4.04pmSteve Bruce has just been speaking to the press following his side's 3-0 defeat against West Ham United, where he insisted that he will "try his best" to land new faces before the transfer window slams shut. He watched on as James Chester and Alex Bruce picked up injuries which will see them miss a slice of action, so options are certainly needed at the back.

10.16amMohamed Salah is expected to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window in order to play regular first-team football. Besiktas has been linked with the Egyptian, but his agent has confirmed that Roma have also been in talks with the player.

9.44amThanks Daniel. Let's start with some more David de Gea news. The Manchester United goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for some time now, and one report claims that the La Liga side could be preparing a Â£50m bid for the Spaniard.

8.33amYou may remember Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger came under fire during the last transfer window for failing to recruit more defensive cover - well the same could be true this time around. The Frenchman has revealed that the club have "made enquiries" over potential signings this month, although he admits it will be tough to bring in any new faces.

He falls short of naming Cavani as one of those the French outfit are aiming to cash in on, although having been left out of the squad for three games now the Uruguayan could be on the move. 7.07amThe first update to bring you from overnight concerns Hull City, who have reportedly targeted Mohamad Salah and Aaron Lennon to bolster their options out wide. It is suggested that Tigers boss Steve Bruce will have to splash out Â£10m to secure the signature of Lennon, however, which could prove to be too much.
