Arsenal talks over move for Mattia Destro imminent?

Arsenal could soon begin talks with Serie A outfit Roma over the future of 23-year-old Italian forward Mattia Destro, according to a report in the press.

Arsenal are poised to begin talks over a move for Roma striker Mattia Destro, according to a report.

The Daily Star has suggested that the Gunners could enter into dialogue with the Italian club tomorrow, with the newspaper citing Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri as the source behind the news.

Speculation over Arsenal's move for the forward has intensified following the loan departures of Lukas Podolski to Inter Milan and Yaya Sanogo to Crystal Palace.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also thought to be keen on a transfer for the Italian international.
