Alain Casanova's side controlled most of the play at Stadium Municipal, but were unable to find a goal that would have seen them string together back-to-back wins.
Martin Braithwaite came close to scoring in the 18th minute when he rattled the crossbar, while Guy N'Dy Assembe was called upon to make saves from Adrien Regattin and Issiaga Sylla.
However, the visitors hung on for just their second point in four games, which leaves them in 12th place.
Le Tef are 10th, five points off fourth-placed Saint-Etienne.
