Reims fight back to earn draw against Toulouse

Toulouse surrender a two-goal lead against visitors Reims, who battle back through Theoson Siebatcheu and Frederic Bulot to claim a 2-2 draw in Ligue 1.

Second-half goals from Theoson Siebatcheu and Frederic Bulot proved the difference as Reims overturned a two-goal deficit to earn a 2-2 draw away at Toulouse in Ligue 1 this evening.

Toulouse threatened from the off and they came close through both Tongo Doumbia and Martin Braithwaite, the latter shooting straight at Reims keeper Kossi Agassa.

The hosts' dominance continued to mount and Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik made it pay in the 28th minute when he broke loose to drive an effort into the bottom-left corner of goal.

The home side doubled their advantage just a few minutes later through Braithwaite, who converted adroitly after latching onto the end of Wissam Ben Yedder's cross.

Reims sought to apply some early pressure in the second period, and they found a route back into the game when Siebatcheu found the net with his right following an impressive free kick to make it 2-1.

Oscar Trejo thought he had put the game to bed for Toulouse, only to see his effort cannon back off the crossbar.

The miss was to prove vital for Reims, after they found an equaliser nine minutes from time through Frederic Bulot, who sealed a memorable night with a standout long-range effort to earn a draw.
