Millwall 'reject Swansea bid for Abdul Abdulmalik'

Millwall have reportedly rejected a bid from fellow Championship side Swansea City for striker Abdul Abdulmalik, amid interest from Arsenal and Rangers also.

The 18-year-old has been a regular scorer for Millwall's youth side but his current contract at The Den is due to expire at the end of this month, and he is believed to want a move away from the Lions this summer.

When the club announced their retained list at the end of May, Millwall confirmed that they had offered Abdulmalik his first professional deal.

According to the Daily Mail, the England Under-17 international is unlikely to accept the terms and Millwall face losing the forward for a minimal sum in training compensation if a tribunal is required to find a solution.

It is reported that the Swans made an enquiry for Abdulmalik as Steve Cooper looks to improve on Swansea's 56 goals during the 2020-21 season, the lowest total amongst the Championship top six.

Abdulmalik joined Millwall in 2018 and has attracted the interest of top-flight sides Arsenal and Rangers.
