Report: Ryan Giggs holds talks with Swansea City

Report: Ryan Giggs holds Swansea talks

Swansea City have reportedly spoken to Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs regarding the managerial situation at the Liberty Stadium.

Francesco Guidolin's job has been under scrutiny following a run of unwelcome results in the early stages of the season.

After beating Burnley on the opening weekend of the Premier League campaign, the Swans have recorded four defeats and one draw.

Giggs, who left United in the summer following two spells as assistant coach to David Moyes and later Louis van Gaal, recently emerged as a potential replacement for Guidolin.

The Welshman claimed last week that he had not been approached by Swansea, but according to The Times, the 42-year-old held talks with club representatives following the team's EFL Cup exit to Manchester City on Wednesday.

The report adds that the club's American owners are prepared to keep Guidolin at the helm if the players and supporters are willing to be patient.

Next up for the Swans is the visit of Liverpool on Saturday.
