Garry Monk: 'We were sucker-punched'

Gary Monk believes that his Swansea City side were 'sucker punched' against Norwich City today during a 'frustrating couple of weeks' in Wales.

Garry Monk has spoken about the "frustrating" last few weeks at Swansea City following their slow start to the season.

Swansea lost 1-0 to Norwich City this afternoon but Monk believes that his side should have easily won.

"We had total control up until the goal," Monk told BBC Sport. "It is frustrating, very frustrating at the moment. One lapse of concentration has cost us dearly again and it has been the story of the last couple of weeks, which is very frustrating for everyone.

"We got caught with a sucker punch against the run of play. There are not many teams who will come to Carrow Road and have almost total control of the game, doing just what we wanted.

"We have work to do now. We have to look and assess where we are over the break, and come back with the right approach and start to pick things up."

Swansea's next fixture is away to Bournemouth on November 21.
