Amat rues missed chances

Swansea City defender Jordi Amat has admitted that a lack of quality in front of goal cost his side during their defeat to Leicester City.

The Swans were beaten 2-0 at the King Power Stadium on Saturday as their three-game unbeaten run in the Premier League came to an end.

Garry Monk's side remain in eighth place in the table, but they are now just one point ahead of Stoke City.

"We suffered a bit in the first half as they started strongly and quickly," Amat told the club's official website. "We changed the system [after conceding] to create more chances and we did that, but we didn't take our opportunities to score.

"In the second half we took control of the game and we went close to scoring, but the keeper made a couple of good saves and when they got the second goal it was impossible for us to come back as it was so late on. But now we must get over this defeat and think about the next game."

Swansea have the chance to get back to winning ways on April 25 when they travel to Newcastle United.
