Sports Mole looks back over the previous 90 minutes between Swansea City and Everton at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea City had never beaten Everton in 15 previous attempts heading into this afternoon's encounter.

The visiting Toffees ensured that they stretched that run to 16 with three unanswered goals at the Liberty Stadium.

Here, Sports Mole analyses whether or not the result was a fair one.

Was the result fair?

Swansea can have no complaints with this one. Forget the fact that they played 30-odd minutes a man light, they were well beaten from the first whistle. Everton did to the Swans what they are used to doing to other teams, particularly at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea's Performance

As mentioned above they were quite simply not at the races. They were sloppy in possession and their play lacked any real pace. Manager Michael Laudrup will be looking to draw a line under that one and move on as quick as possible.

Everton's performance?

As close to perfect as possible. The only thing David Moyes could have asked from his players is that they scored more goals. From the first whistle they controlled the encounter and fully deserved the points.

Referee's Performance

A really steady performance from Anthony Taylor, who got almost every decision correct. Nathan Dyer deserved to be red carded, while the handball for Everton's opening goal was almost impossible to spot. Several replays later and even the pundits are still not sure.

Sports Mole's man of the match

Leighton Baines has been superb this season and he carried on that form today. The full-back not only defends well, but he got down the left and caused the Swansea rearguard no end of problems. He also set up the third goal for Marouane Fellaini.

Biggest gaffe

Going to have to be a joint award for Everton duo Fellaini and Victor Anichebe. The pair both missed glorious chances from six yards that would have put their side out of sight.

What's next?

Swansea: The Swans will want to erase this afternoon from their memories next time out. It won't be that easy though as next up is a trip to Stoke City.

Everton: Moyes's side have arguably played the best football so far this season. Southampton are the visitors to Goodison Park next weekend.
