Saha leaves Sunderland

Louis Saha has left Sunderland after his contract was ended by mutual consent.

The Frenchman joined the Black Cats last summer and made 14 appearances for Martin O'Neill's side this season.

Chief executive Margaret Byrne told the club's official website: "We wish Louis all the very best for the future and thank him for his contribution to Sunderland."

Saha was deemed surplus to requirements at the Stadium of Light following the £5m signing of Danny Graham from Swansea City.
