Report: Sunderland agree Ricky Alvarez deal

Sunderland have reportedly agreed to loan Ricky Alvarez from Inter Milan.

The 26-year-old joined Inter from Velez Sarsfield last summer and scored four times in 31 appearances during his first season for the Serie A club.

However, the midfielder has now been deemed surplus to requirements at Inter.

According to the Daily Mail, Alvarez will join the Premier League club on a season-long loan, with Sunderland having the option of making the move permanent at the end of the season.

Alvarez has also made seven appearances for Argentina.
