Emanuele Giaccherini dispels exit talk, determined to succeed at Sunderland

Giaccherini eager to stay at Sunderland

Emanuele Giaccherini has no intention of leaving Sunderland this summer, according to the midfielder's agent Furio Valcareggi.

The 29-year-old, who started 16 Premier League games for the Black Cats in his debut season, has been linked with a move to Galatasaray.

However, the player's agent has insisted that he is happy on Wearside and wants to prove his worth at the Stadium of Light next season.

"Giaccherini wants to stay at Sunderland a lot and stay in the team," the Shields Gazette quotes Valcareggi as saying.

"He hopes to have fewer difficulties than last season. The talk about Galatasaray is an invention."

Giaccherini moved to Sunderland last season for a fee in the region of £7m.
