FA fine Sunderland for players' conduct

The Football Association have fined Sunderland £30,000 after finding the club's players guilty of misconduct during the Premier League game against Manchester City at the end of last month.

Some of the Black Cats protested at great length following the award of a penalty in the 43rd minute of their match when they were winning 1-0.

An FA statement added that Sunderland had originally denied the charge of misconduct and warned the Wearside club over future conduct.
