Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat has admitted that a positive result against Everton is "vital" as they attempt to avoid relegation to the Championship.
The Black Cats currently sit in 18th position in the Premier League table, and although they have a game in hand on their rivals, Advocaat is eager to continue the momentum generated from earning four points from games against Stoke City and Southampton.
The Dutchman told SAFSEE: "We have four points out of our last two games and we need another four or five points at least. The next two games are vital.
"You can see that the players are in the right shape and are organised. It's been very positive and everyone has worked very hard. I have always said that if you work hard, you will get the results."
Victory at Goodison Park would take Sunderland up to 14th place ahead of this afternoon's fixtures.
