Stoke City bid for Michael Keane rejected?

Burnley have reportedly rejected a bid of £7m from Stoke City for defender Michael Keane.

The 23-year-old joined the Championship high-flyers from Manchester United on a three-and-a-half year deal in January 2015 for a fee believed to be around £2m.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes has been monitoring his situation and has submitted an offer of £5m with a further £2m in add-ons, but according to The Metro, Burnley are reluctant to let a key player go as they mount a push for Premier League promotion.

Keane is part of the Championship's fifth-best defence and has been an ever-present for Sean Dyche's side in the league this season.
