Jordan Pickford insists that goalkeepers have "got no chance" of denying England teammate Harry Kane on current form.

England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has heaped praise on teammate Harry Kane for showing true nerve to bury his penalties against Panama.

Two of Kane's three goals in the 6-1 thrashing came from the penalty spot as he raced to the top of the World Cup Golden Boot standings.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker dispatched the spot kicks with expert precision, picking out the top corner of the opposition goal on both occasions.

Pickford insists that any keeper would struggle to keep out Kane on current form, telling reporters: "He's a top forward for starters, that's his main game, finishing.

"I was watching him from my end the other day and his two pens were top drawer. He's been practising every day with them. We believe in him to finish them and he put them away with no pressure.

"[Penalties like those are] pretty much unsaveable, yeah. You've got to do a lot of guessing. The power behind it and the accuracy, both penalties were exactly the same really. It's pot luck [for a goalkeeper] but when Harry's finishing like that you've got no chance."

Pickford won his fifth England cap in the win against Panama, keeping clean sheets in the first two of those.
