Jan Vertonghen to hand in transfer request?

Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen will reportedly hand in a transfer request at the Dutch club in order to force a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The 25-year-old has long been linked with a move to Spurs, with Arsenal and Manchester United also understood to be in the race.

The Belgian has already agreed personal terms with the London club, according to Goal.com, but the transfer has stalled due to Ajax's asking price.

Vertonghen has 36 international caps to his name.
