Tottenham Hotspur to move for Ross Barkley in January due to injury woes?

Tottenham injuries to force Barkley swoop?

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly increase their efforts to sign Everton midfielder Ross Barkley in January due to the club's growing injury list.

The North London outfit were linked with a move for the England international in the summer, but a deal was not reached.

Barkley was also wanted by Chelsea, but the 23-year-old remained at Goodison Park, where he is contracted to stay until the end of the season when he can leave for free.

According to The Mirror, Everton will be open to selling the midfielder in the winter window, with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy keen to get a cut-price deal.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino is understood to want extra bodies to select for midfield due to the injury woes of Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele.

Barkley has not played a game for Everton this season due to a hamstring problem.
