Stuttgart attacker Nicolas Gonzalez is a summer target for Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Stuttgart attacker Nicolas Gonzalez during this summer's transfer window.

The 22-year-old has struggled with three separate injuries this season but has still made 15 Bundesliga appearances, contributing six goals and two assists in the process.

According to Sky Sports News, Spurs have been monitoring Gonzalez 'for some time' and are now ready to step up their interest due to Gareth Bale's situation at the club.

Bale recently revealed that he is planning to return to Real Madrid this summer once his loan spell at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has come to an end.

The Stuttgart attacker is allegedly seen as an ideal replacement for the Welshman, with the Argentina international said to be available this summer for a fee in the region of £27m.

Gonzalez has scored 23 goals and registered 10 assists in 79 outings for his German club since arriving from Argentinos Juniors in 2018.
