Tottenham Hotspur to abandon Loic Remy pursuit?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to abandon their pursuit of Marseille forward Loic Remy because of a possible heart defect.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is already thought to have met the 25-year-old to discuss a possible £18m move to White Hart Lane.

The Premier League side now hope to put the French international through a rigorous medical before he signs a contract, according to The Sun.

Remy has scored 14 goals in all competitions for Marseille this season.
