Spurs reach 'agreement' over £85m package for PL attacker

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Manchester City winger Savinho after the Brazilian asked to leave the club.

The 22-year-old joined Man City in the summer of 2024 and has since made 84 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals.

Savinho made just seven Premier League starts under Pep Guardiola last season, while Enzo Maresca recently confirmed that the winger had wanted to leave the club from the very beginning.

Tottenham reach agreement for Savinho

According to a report from The Athletic, Tottenham have agreed to pay an initial £75m for Savinho after failing in an attempt to sign him last summer.

The deal could rise by a further £10m in performance-related add-ons, taking the overall package to £85m.

The Brazilian attacker is expected to undergo a medical on Friday before putting pen to paper on a proposed five-year contract, which could also include the option of a further 12 months.

Tottenham transfer news: Omar Marmoush to follow next?

Having already signed six new players, including spending a combined £185m on midfielders Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United, Spurs are now turning their attention towards strengthening the attack.

The north London club have pursued Savinho throughout much of the summer, and it now appears that Roberto De Zerbi has finally landed one of his priority targets.

However, the Brazilian's arrival may not signal the end of Tottenham's spending spree, with De Zerbi also reportedly keen on a move for Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush.

It has been widely reported that Spurs have been advancing talks over both players, although any deal for Marmoush would be negotiated separately from Savinho's move.

Tottenham have also been credited with an interest in Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo, but their chances of prising the Dutchman away from Anfield currently appear slim.

Meanwhile, Man City are reportedly already moving to fill the void left by Savinho, with Palmeiras winger Allan Elias emerging as the club's preferred replacement.
