Tottenham Hotspur keen on Vlad Chiriches?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a move for Steaua Bucuresti defender Vlad Chiriches.

Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas is believed to be keen on strengthening his squad at the back following doubts over the fitness of Jan Vertonghen and Younes Kaboul.

Vertonghen recently picked up an ankle injury during the club's pre-season trip to Hong Kong, while Kaboul missed nearly the whole of the last campaign with a knee problem.

Romanian international Chriches, 23, has now been identified as a possible new recruit at White Hart Lane, according to the Daily Mail.

Steaua reportedly want around £7m for the centre-back.
