Spurs transfer news: Pape Matar Sarr Juventus move confirmed, agreed clause acknowledged

Tottenham Hotspur have announced the loan exit of Pape Matar Sarr to Juventus.

On the back of successive Premier League defeats to Brentford and Newcastle United, Roberto De Zerbi is hopeful of making a number of signings.

Chelsea duo Tosin Adarabioyo and Mykhaylo Mudryk are said to be in line to make the switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, reports have persisted regarding a number of departures, albeit with Richarlison now likely to remain in North London.

Nevertheless, Spurs have confirmed that Matar Sarr has made the temporary switch to Turin.

Spurs confirm Matar Sarr, Juventus transfer, loan clause

The Senegal international will be spending at least the season on loan at the Serie A giants.

Meanwhile, Spurs have also confirmed that there is an obligation to buy present in the terms of the deal, providing that performance-related conditions are activated.

Matar Sarr leaves Spurs having contributed 11 goals and 11 assists from 141 appearances in all competitions.

Despite making 26 Premier League outings during 2025-26, the arrivals of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes have pushed him down the pecking order.

From Juventus' perspective, they have another midfielder to provide competition for the engine room roles alongside Manuel Locatelli, Teun Koopmeiners, Khephram Thuram and Weston McKennie.

Luciano Spalletti's side have started the new season with consecutive wins and clean sheets against Frosinone and Parma respectively.
