Report: Spurs to revive Skriniar interest in January

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly intend to make a fresh approach for Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar in the winter transfer window.

Spurs are believed to have had a bid rejected for the Slovakia international earlier this month.

Inter supposedly wanted a fee of around £50m for the defender, but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was only prepared to part with £30m.

According to FCInterNews, however, the Premier League side have been given renewed hope of signing Skriniar in January.

The report suggests that Spurs are confident of landing the 25-year-old on an initial £1.8m loan deal, before handing over £36m next summer and up to £4.5m in add-ons.

Inter are said to be more willing to conduct business now that they have a couple of replacements lined up, with one of those believed to be Torino's Armando Izzo.
