Report: Tottenham Hotspur eye £3m Fabian Delph

Report: Spurs prepare £3m Delph bid

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly readying a £3m bid to sign Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph this month.

The 25-year-old is out of contract at Villa Park in the summer and will be permitted to leave the club for free in the event that he fails to sign a contract extension.

Consequently, the Villans are said to be keen on doing business in the winter transfer window and, according to The Mirror, Spurs will test the waters with a £3m offer.

Premier League rivals Liverpool are also thought to be interested, but the report goes on to state that the Lilywhites could use one of their fringe players as a makeweight in the deal.

Emmanuel Adebayor heads a list of players that Spurs are interested in selling, with Aaron Lennon, Paulinho, Andros Townsend and Moussa Dembele also linked with January moves away.
