Report: Toby Alderweireld set for Tottenham Hotspur exit

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly concerned that defender Toby Alderweireld could seek a move away from the club in the near future.

The Lilywhites are said be at loggerheads with a number of senior players over Spurs' unwillingness to raise their wage ceiling.

According to the Daily Mail, talks between the club and Alderweireld, who is thought to earn to just £50,000 a week, have stalled.

The Belgian is believed to be in no rush to sign a new deal and Manchester City are thought to be monitoring his situation at the club.

Alderweireld's current contract expires in the summer of 2019.
