Real Madrid are reportedly contemplating whether to secure a reunion with Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilon.
Since moving to North London in September 2020, Reguilon has made a total of 58 appearances in all competitions after establishing himself at left wing-back.
However, when Real allowed the Spaniard to depart the Bernabeu, they inserted a release clause in his contract, believed to be set at €40m (£33.32m).
According to ABC, Los Blancos are giving serious consideration to activating that option during the summer transfer window.
The La Liga leaders will require a replacement for veteran Marcelo, who will be ending his 15-year spell at Real at the end of the season.
While the 25-year-old may cost more than other potential targets, Real will be comfortable with the signing due to Reguilon having already experienced life at the club in the past.
