Scott Parker on the verge of Tottenham Hotspur move

Tottenham Hotspur are close to completing the signing of West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker.

The England international missed the Hammers' 4-1 victory over Nottingham Forest yesterday and manager Sam Allardyce confirmed that the situation would be finalised soon.

"There are some negotiations going on and I don't think he would be mentally right to play," Allardyce told Sky Sports News.

"It will come to fruition in the next 24 hours or so."

Spurs are reportedly willing to loan an unnamed player to West Ham as part of the deal.
