Luka Modric will reportedly hold talks with Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas this week over his future at the club.
The Croatian midfielder had been expected to complete a move to Real Madrid before the two clubs disagreed over a fee.
Modric will now attempt to persuade the Portuguese coach to let him join the Spanish giants, according to The Mirror.
The Premier League club are understood to be holding out for £40m for a player that they signed for £16.5m in 2008.
