Luka Modric made to train alone

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric is understood to have been made to train alone by manager Andre Villas-Boas.

The Croatian had been expected to leave England for Real Madrid, but the transfer is now in doubt after the two parties failed to agree a fee.

The 26-year-old has now been isolated further at White Hart Lane, according to The Mirror.

Modric didn't travel with the Spurs squad to Spain for Thursday's 2-0 friendly defeat against Valencia.
