Tin Jedvaj: 'Tottenham Hotspur tried to sign me'

Tin Jedvaj has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur tried to sign him before his recent move to Roma.

The 17-year-old Croatian defender joined the Serie A side from Dinamo Zagreb for £4.3m earlier this month.

"In the last weeks, there had been a strong interest from Tottenham, but Roma did a strong negotiation and now I'm happy to be in this group," he told the Giallorossi's official website.

Jedvaj has earned two caps for Croatia at Under-19 level.
