Jake Nicholson joins AFC Wimbledon

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jake Nicholson has agreed a deal with AFC Wimbledon.

The 21-year-old made his Spurs debut in the Europa League against Hearts back in 2011, but he failed to add to that appearance prior to his release last summer.

Since then the one-time England youth international has turned out for Morton in Scotland, but he will now continue his career in League Two.

"Pleased to have joined @AFCWimbledon - fresh start for me back in English football," he wrote on Twitter.

Back in 2011, Nicholson also spent time on loan from Spurs with Finnish club MyPa.
