Argentine defender Juan Foyth is likely to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to his agent Claudio Curti.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth is likely to leave Jose Mourinho's side during this summer's transfer window, according to the Argentine's agent Claudio Curti.

The 22-year-old has only made three appearances under Mourinho this season and has not been involved for the Premier League club since the latter stages of 2019.

Barcelona have recently been linked with a move for the defender, and the South American's representative has conceded that his client is expected to move on ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

"For what has happened in recent times, we don't think so (whether Foyth has a future at Tottenham under Mourinho). But we still have a pending talk with Tottenham to clarify the future," Curti told talkSPORT.

"We don't judge the coach's decisions and we don't get involved in his job, but what's clear is that the club's project with Juan has changed. We have a pending chat with Tottenham and for sure the topic will come up. If he can't have minutes in Tottenham we will have to look at the best options for him to develop and play anywhere else.

"Juan is grateful to Tottenham, but he needs to have more minutes to grow as a player and he also needs to hold his place in the national team. The only way to do that is to compete. Surely he is not happy, but he is a professional, and he will finish the season in the best way."

Foyth joined Spurs from Estudiantes in August 2017 and has made 32 appearances for the capital side in all competitions, including 12 Premier League outings last term.
